Texas born former Navy pilot, founder and chairman of ONSA, Girard, is also chairman, president and CEO of Plaid Pantries, a regional convenience store company headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. Dedicated to the industry, Girard supports ONSA because they are the only association that gives legislative and regulation help where small stores need it.

Lila Leathers-Fitz

A long way from her small hometown of Raymondville, Texas, Lila Leathers-Fitz started in the business by pumping gas. Today, Leathers-Fitz is currently President and CEO of Leathers Enterprises, Inc. and on the Board for Directors for ONSA. Of her ONSA membership, Leathers-Fitz says that having ONSA as a place to discuss and face some of the issues is vitally important because there isn’t any way that a one-store operation can make the impact on the legislature that ONSA can.

Frank Schuchard
SchuMarts Garden Valley
Roseburg, OR

Born in The Dalles and raised in Medford, Frank Schuchard was ready to own his own business in 1979, when he checked out the 7-Eleven business ad in the classified section of his local newspaper. Today, the former insurance office and pizza parlor manager owns three stores. A member of ONSA since its inception, Schuchard believes the work done by the guys from the larger organizations makes an positive impact on the little stores and being one of the little guys in the big pool, is happy to represent the smaller stores on the ONSA board.
